I love this photo. I like the layers that are reveled. Leads to the thought of “Through decay the past or history is uncovered and presented back into the present time.” I think that New Orleans itself is a city of many layers. The culture holds numerous backgrounds. They come together and create the existing culture. This is very unique to the city. Perhaps, pulling some of these cultural themes out in the design could be an approach to the use the layers viewed in this photo.
I like the idea of the layers. I like how they can relate to the past, present and future.
Oooh – I like the layers, especially looking at cultural layers. New Orleans is such a unique city, pulling bits – layers – of the city into the park could be a neat direction.
i really like your photo as well. it’s like a tree trunk. the flaking and rusty layers look like bark peeling of a big metal birch tree. very cool indeed.
